the Lung.

Indications: Any throat discomfort or Lung yin
deficiency, dry and sore throats with fever, dry cough with blood-tinged
sputum due to deficiency of Lung yin.
Modern
Indications: Chronic bronchitis, acute pharyngitis,
and acute tonsillitis.
Comments:
This formula is the earliest and most famous TCM recipe for effectively
treating diphtheria without antibiotics. It is still in use today.
